The Ancona Launch and Market Reception

On May 28, the Ferretti Group Superyacht Yard in Ancona placed the first Custom Line Navetta 35 into the water. This event solidifies the brand’s position within the sub-270 GT displacement market. The demand for this specific 34.5-metre platform is evident, as the shipyard secured sales for three units prior to the launch of the inaugural hull. The project was executed through a direct collaboration between the Strategic Product Committee, the Ferretti Group Engineering Department, and the Custom Line Atelier.

Transparent Architecture and Exterior Styling

Architect Filippo Salvetti designed the exterior profile. The Navetta 35 features a steady beam of 7.7 metres. The styling focuses on balanced volumes and clean lines, creating a contemporary silhouette. A core concept of the build is its almost transparent naval architecture, utilizing expansive glass to maximize the visual connection to the surrounding marine environment from all vantage points.

Reconfiguring the Tri-Deck Layout

The vessel utilizes a tri-deck configuration offering over 300 square metres of combined indoor and outdoor space. The deck plan accommodates up to ten guests across five cabins. The master suite is located on the main deck, while four guest cabins occupy the lower deck. The layout specifically isolates guest and crew flows to maintain privacy and operational functionality during extended cruising. A notable structural decision is the complete removal of the external aft staircase on the main deck, expanding the cockpit into a continuous, unobstructed social hub.

Developing the Internal Architecture

ACPV ARCHITECTS Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel developed the interior architecture. The design heavily utilizes full-height windows to flood the internal spaces with natural light. An innovative internal staircase minimizes visual obstruction while bridging the decks. The interior styling incorporates soft organic geometries and custom-made freestanding furniture designed by Antonio Citterio, which is raised off the floor to create a sense of floating within the saloon.

The Light Mood Interior Aesthetic

For this first unit, the owner requested a specific design direction. The ACPV team executed this utilizing a “Light Mood” palette consisting of ivory, beige, and caramel. The material selection reinforces this bright atmosphere, incorporating Pietra di Vicenza stone, pale wood flooring, and sand-coloured leather upholstery. These material choices blur the physical boundaries between the interior saloon and the exterior decks, delivering a highly functional and immersive cruising platform.
