The Triple Accreditation Matrix

Securing formal recognition within the superyacht sector demands precision across multiple operational fronts. D-Marin recently announced that its Marsa Al Arab Marina in Dubai achieved three distinct industry accreditations. The facility earned TYHA’s 5 Gold Anchor rating, alongside the Clean Marina and Superyacht Ready distinctions. This validates the location’s capacity to deliver premium amenities while adhering to rigorous environmental and logistical guidelines.

Accommodating the Large Vessel Fleet

Handling superyachts involves complex infrastructure and highly specialized service levels. Positioned directly adjacent to the Jumeirah Burj Al Arab, the marina secured the Superyacht Ready accreditation. This specific designation confirms that the facility possesses the necessary physical parameters to safely dock large luxury vessels. It also ensures that owners, captains, and crew members receive the exact logistical support expected during extended stays.

Environmental Protocol and Waste Management

Rapid maritime expansion must coincide with strict ecological safeguards. The Clean Marina distinction reflects the facility’s dedication to sustainable operations. By implementing robust waste-management processes and active pollution-prevention initiatives, D-Marin works to protect the local marine environment. Selcuk Balci, managing director at D-Marin, noted that these awards highlight the company’s commitment to environmental responsibility alongside exceptional customer service.

Strategic Regional Partnerships

Developing a premier destination requires alignment between operators and local hospitality leaders. Michael Heyes, chief financial officer at Dubai Holding Hospitality, emphasized that the Marsa Al Arab Marina reinforces Dubai’s position as a primary hub for luxury tourism. The partnership between Dubai Holding Hospitality and D-Marin focuses on elevating local operations to attract international cruising routes to the UAE. Prior to these three awards, the facility also secured Gold for Outstanding Emerging Marina at the 2025 Abu Dhabi Maritime Awards.

The D-Marin Global Portfolio

The Dubai facility represents just one node in a rapidly expanding corporate network. Founded in 2003 with headquarters in Athens, D-Marin manages 28 marinas across nine countries, spanning locations in Spain, France, Italy, Croatia, Albania, Greece, Türkiye, Malta, and the UAE. The company controls over 14,000 berths, dedicating 1,000 specifically to superyachts. Through the integration of complimentary smart sensors and a dedicated booking app, the operator continues to push digital connectivity across its 50,000 annual customers.
