The Mid-Point of a Masterpiece
The superyacht sector is currently witnessing a tactical resurrection at the Mengi Yay refit division, known as Reviva Refit. Under the internal designation Project R15, the 47.85-metre Trinity superyacht Mirabella has reached the midway mark of a comprehensive six-and-a-half-month overhaul. Since arriving in mid-September 2025, the vessel has undergone a systematic teardown that spans her interior, exterior, and core electrical systems—a move designed to ensure she remains competitive in a market that demands absolute perfection.
Aesthetic Restoration and Veneer Surgery
Inside the hull, the restoration is surgical. The yacht’s woodwork is receiving a total re-finish to address years of environmental wear and discoloration. This process involves sanding back the existing surfaces directly to the veneer before applying protective coatings in a strictly controlled environment. Combined with new upholstery and updated furniture, the goal is to shift the interior narrative from a dated classic to a modern sanctuary without losing the original Trinity soul.
Climate-Controlled Surface Protection
Externally, the project is a masterclass in logistics. To achieve a factory-standard finish, both the hull and superstructure are being repainted within a managed climate that regulates humidity and temperature. Every navigation unit, light fixture, and exterior fitting was removed and catalogued prior to the first coat of primer. This level of attention ensures that when the scaffolding is finally struck, the paintwork is not just a cosmetic fix, but a long-term defensive shield against the elements.
Infrastructure and Lighting Overhaul
Beyond the visual layers, a large-scale electrical and electronic integration is underway. The refit includes major revisions to the yacht’s core infrastructure, replacing interior fittings and enhancing exterior deck lighting to improve overall luminosity. This technical surge is paired with targeted AV and electronics updates, ensuring that Mirabella’s bridge and entertainment systems are as sharp as the new hull paint. It is a necessary move for an owner who refuses to compromise on modern connectivity.
The Lifestyle Shift at the Stern
On deck, the refit team is introducing several high-end lifestyle modifications. The original Jacuzzi is being replaced with the option for a fully bespoke spa installation, accompanied by new seating arrangements to optimize guest flow. Perhaps the most ambitious structural change is the integration of a transformer within the swim platform. This requires a dedicated watertight chamber and significant structural modifications, essentially turning the stern into a high-tech launchpad for the yacht’s tender and toys.
The Countdown to April
Managed by Rob Dolling of Verpeka Dolling Superyachts, who is acting as Owner’s Representative and Technical Manager, the project is maintaining an aggressive pace. With the delivery date set for 15 April 2026, the industry is closely monitoring Reviva Refit’s fifteenth major project. For a yacht of this pedigree, this refit isn’t just a maintenance task; it is a strategic investment in the vessel’s future, proving that with the right technical representation, a classic hull can lead the fleet once again.
