Architecture Without Compromise

The reveal of the Kinetic K6 marks a definitive line in the sand for performance cruising. While the industry often settles for stretched hulls and repurposed molds, Kinetic has committed to two purpose-built lengths—63 and 67 feet—ensuring each platform is finely balanced for its specific dimensions. Tooling production is slated to commence in January 2026, with the first build hitting the floor in May. This is a strategic evolution, designed for sailors who view time on the water as a precious commodity that shouldn’t be wasted at six knots.

Lightness as a Technical Advantage

The K6 is an uncompromising, all-carbon catamaran. By embracing the extreme weight savings and structural rigidity of carbon fiber, Kinetic has produced a vessel designed to sail at wind speed and above. This isn’t a boat that waits for a gale; it is a platform that comes alive in light air, allowing you to sail while the rest of the anchorage is reaching for the ignition. It’s a gritty, performance-first philosophy that translates directly into faster passage-making and a lighter, more responsive helm.

The Short-Handed Command Center

High-performance sailing is often associated with large crews and chaotic deck layouts. Kinetic has inverted this narrative. The K6 is meticulously designed for short-handed sailing by a cruising couple. By utilizing drive-by-wire precision and leading technology partners like Jefa Steering and Rigging Projects, the complexities of managing a 67-foot carbon rig are reduced to intuitive controls. It offers the ability to cruise comfortably at double-digit speeds without the need for a professional team on deck.

Bespoke Interiors and Minimalist DNA

Exclusivity is woven into the build process. Every K6 is a bespoke creation, allowing owners to work directly with the design team to curate layouts and finishes that reflect a unique personality. The design language, crafted by Simonis Voogd Design in the Netherlands, fuses modern functionality with a minimalist aesthetic. Every line is deliberate, ensuring that the luxury experience on board is as refined as the sailing performance on deck.

A Heritage of Validation

Kinetic isn’t a newcomer making empty promises. Founded in 2018 by Bob Hayward and Leon Scheepers, the yard has already secured major industry validation, including Cruising World’s Boat of the Year for the KC54. The K6 represents the culmination of this rapid ascent, leveraging a South African build team and global technology partners to produce a world-class catamaran. There are no shortcuts here—only a dedicated focus on producing the highest quality multihulls currently on the water.
