The Explorer Expansion
The global demand for high-end explorer platforms continues to drive robust order books for elite Italian shipyards. Sanlorenzo recently finalized the launch of its eighth 47-metre superyacht from the renowned 500EXP series. Previously tracked under hull number 162, the vessel has been officially christened Casa F. Central listing agent Ekka Yachts confirmed the milestone, listing the yacht with an asking price of €35,000,000 and labeling it as one of the most complete, highly specified units of the model delivered to the global market.
Bespoke Development and Refinement
The design lineage of the 500EXP series began in 2018 under the guidance of Francesco Paszkowski Design. Casa F represents a serious evolution within this fleet, combining an aggressive explorer philosophy with transoceanic range capabilities. Operating within a sub-500GT displacement envelope, the yacht is the product of a meticulous three-year development process. The owner invested over €5,000,000 in custom upgrades and tailored specifications spanning across the onboard systems, layout architecture, and navigational technology.
Waterfront Layout Logistics
Living spaces on an explorer must transition seamlessly from functional gear storage to high-end relaxation zones. The aft section of Casa F features a massive beach club equipped with a folding side balcony, a gym, a hammam, and a custom Travertino marble bar. Boarding and tender operations are supported by a custom hydraulic transformer swim platform. On the upper decks, a custom saltwater pool crowns the sundeck, offering unobstructed panoramic views while underway.
Curated Interiors and Technical Upgrades
The internal environment relies heavily on classic Italian craft, incorporating herringbone parquet flooring, fluted cabinetry detailing, and custom marble surfaces. Large structural windows flood the main salons with natural light, directly connecting guests to the surrounding seascape. Decorated with premium loose furniture and Loro Piana fabrics, the interior matches its aesthetic refinement with heavy technical systems. A full Bang & Olufsen audio-visual network runs throughout the vessel, supported by an integrated DJ station and multiple cinema setups.
Heavy Machinery and Commercial Certification
Long-range safety dictates the engineering choices below deck. Built in strict compliance with the REG code and flying the Malta Flag, Casa F is fully certified for both private and commercial charter operations. The yacht features an increased fuel capacity compared to standard units and upgraded navigation infrastructure. The aft deck handles touch-and-go helicopter logistics, situated adjacent to a 7.5-ton submersible crane for launching heavy tenders. Power comes from twin 1,300hp Caterpillar C32 ACERT engines, logging a maximum speed of 15 knots.
