The CAYAGO and Lamborghini Collaboration

The integration of automotive design into marine hardware demands precise engineering and material selection. German manufacturer CAYAGO AG has officially partnered with Italian automaker Automobili Lamborghini to produce the SEABOB SE63. This high-performance water toy translates Lamborghini’s aggressive design DNA into an electric-powered water sled designed specifically for the superyacht market. The “SE63” designation stands for Special Edition, while honoring 1963, the founding year of Automobili Lamborghini.

Material Engineering and Design

A heavy watercraft becomes a logistical liability on a superyacht deck. The SEABOB SE63 addresses this by maintaining a strictly controlled weight of 35 kilograms, allowing crew members to deploy the unit without requiring technical hoisting equipment. This weight reduction is achieved through the use of titanium, magnesium, and a carbon fiber motor shaft within the primary drive system. The exterior styling heavily mimics the automotive brand, featuring the signature Lamborghini start button in the cockpit, a central carbon element, and a digital speedometer inspired directly by Lamborghini instrumentation.

Propulsive Thrust and Driving Modes

Operating an electric sled requires a balance between underwater agility and surface acceleration. The SEABOB SE63 delivers a propulsive power rating of 162 TP (Thrust Performance), a metric calculated by combining raw thrust, vehicle weight, and electrical output. The operator can select between two specific driving modes: a Normal mode optimized for controlled underwater travel, and a Sport mode that massively increases torque to accelerate the vehicle to its maximum performance threshold. To maintain stability during high-speed surface runs, the sled is equipped with electrically extending side wings.

The Performance Board Attachment

To alter the dynamics of the sled, operators can fit an optional Performance Board to the rear of the watercraft. This attachment allows the rider to adopt a prone position while gripping the controls. The underside of the board features a distinctive foil that generates powerful lift, pulling the vehicle out of the water and into a planing phase in seconds. With this board attached, the SEABOB SE63 can reach a top surface speed of up to 35 km/h.

Production and Availability Timeline

Following a digital launch in September 2025, the SEABOB SE63 made its physical debut alongside the Lamborghini Revuelto super sports car at the boot marine trade show in Düsseldorf. CAYAGO AG has scheduled the primary production run for the second quarter of 2026. The units will become commercially available through selected SEABOB distribution partners starting in the summer of 2026, offering superyacht owners a zero-emission watercraft that aligns with high-end automotive standards.
