Shared Helm Perspectives

The traditional layout of offshore center consoles has long isolated the captain from the party, relegating guests to distant aft seating or exposed forward loungers. SŌLACE Boats challenges this setup directly on their flagship 42CS by introducing a dual-row helm configuration paired with mezzanine seating. This choice brings more passengers directly into the primary command area, allowing family and friends to share the panoramic viewpoint from behind the windshield while remaining fully engaged in the navigation experience.

Defeating Wind and Spray

Protection on an open platform requires more than just an oversized hardtop, especially when running hard into oncoming seas. To address this reality, the builders integrated an aft cockpit bulkhead featuring opening glass directly behind the second row of seats. Closing this glass partition creates an effective barrier that drastically lowers acoustic stress and wind turbulence throughout the helm area, allowing passengers to converse normally while the hull handles the open ocean.

Dual-Step Performance Hull

With an overall length of 40′ 7″ and a substantial beam of 12′ 3″, managing drag is critical for maintaining high performance and range. The vessel utilizes a dual-step hull design engineered to trap air beneath the running surface, reducing friction and ensuring a flat, dry ride at high cruising speeds. This geometry yields a highly responsive running attitude, slicing through chop via a sharp 49° deadrise at the bow before transitioning to 22° at the transom for optimal stability.

Extensive Capacities and Space

Offshore capability requires substantial storage and tankage, a necessity reflected in the platform’s heavy-duty specifications. The boat carries 700 gallons of fuel to support extended long-range runs, supplemented by a 70-gallon freshwater capacity and an 18-gallon waste tank. Anglers and cruisers are supported by dual 40-gallon livewells alongside dual 82-gallon fish boxes, proving that the luxurious seating arrangements do not compromise serious deck functionality.

Refined Overnight Accommodations

Stepping below deck reveals a cabin environment that punches well above the typical center console standard. Boasting 6′ 4″ of cabin headroom, the lower space provides a legitimate refuge for overnight stays or escaping midday heat. Combined with a manageable 8′ 9″ bridge clearance without radar and an approximate dry weight of 22,450 pounds with power, this vessel coordinates elite accommodation metrics with a highly agile, easily managed footprint.
