Fort Lauderdale Exhibition
Physical inspections remain critical for buyers evaluating semi-displacement cruisers. Burr Yacht Sales will display the all-new Fleming 60 at the 2026 Fort Lauderdale Boat Show, running from October 28th through November 1st. The vessel will be positioned on the south side of Bahia Mar on B Dock within the Green Zone. This exhibition allows prospective owners to directly assess the structural modifications and layout updates integrated into the latest addition to the Fleming fleet.
Expanding the F58 Architecture
Developing a new cruiser requires leveraging proven hydrodynamic foundations. Fleming Yachts built the new 60-foot model directly upon the established hull design of the Fleming 58. The naval architecture, originally developed by Norman Wright and Sons in Australia, utilizes a fine entry and generous bow flare to guarantee a stable ride. The shipyard relied on extensive 3D modeling and physical tank testing at the Australian Maritime College to optimize resistance and trim across various load conditions.
The Raised California Deck
Altering the exterior layout directly enhances the social dynamics of the vessel. The Fleming 60 introduces a raised aft California deck designed specifically for alfresco entertaining. This elevated platform incorporates fixed seating, built-in storage compartments, and a large dining table. Additionally, the designers extended the upper boat deck aft, providing critical shade and environmental protection over the main deck while simultaneously expanding the storage footprint for the 1,000 lb. Steelhead davit and a 13-foot tender.
Mechanical Specifications and Performance
Pushing a heavily built semi-displacement hull requires substantial mechanical output. The engine room houses twin MAN i6-800 engines, delivering 800 HP at 2300 RPM. The drivetrain utilizes the Seatorque enclosed shaft system, which transfers propeller thrust directly to the hull structure, entirely eliminating traditional cutless bearings and stuffing boxes. The vessel carries 1,450 gallons of fuel and relies on ABT TRAC 7.5 Sq. Ft fins for active stabilization during extended transits.
Interior Enhancements and Crew Quarters
The interior layout maximizes the 17-foot 6-inch beam. The wider pilothouse provides enough physical space for twin Stidd helm seats and features the Fleming First Mate (FFM) ship monitoring system across dual 15-inch touchscreens. A notable addition to the 60-foot platform is the integration of a dedicated crew cabin complete with an independent head and shower. The master cabin utilizes a full-beam configuration with direct access from the pilothouse, while the main saloon features “Burrwood” composite rail capping that mimics varnished teak without the heavy maintenance requirements.
