Italian shipyard Tureddi is capitalizing on this manufacturing background, officially stepping into the custom yacht market under its own name. The builder recently confirmed the sale of its inaugural independent project, the 52-metre motor yacht known as Stil Novo. This transaction signals a deliberate shift from third-party superstructure fabrication to complete, in-house vessel development.
The Brokerage Connection
Securing a client for an inaugural custom build demands heavy industry trust. John Wood of Seawood Yacht Sales acted as the introducing broker for the buyer. According to Wood, the client evaluated several established shipyards for the commission before finalizing the agreement. The deciding factor rested heavily on the Italian facility’s extensive technical background and proven competence in constructing large-scale hulls and superstructures for other brands.
Designing the 52-Metre Platform
Shaping a flagship requires specific architectural direction. Marco Casali of Too Design developed the exterior profile for the Stil Novo project. The custom motor yacht emphasizes outdoor engagement, featuring expansive exterior deck areas designed to maximize functional square footage. The main deck incorporates a prominent aft swimming pool, catering to the owner’s operational intent to utilize the vessel for both private cruising and commercial charter operations.
Pending Technical Specifications
While the exterior parameters are established, the shipyard is maintaining strict control over the finer details of the build. Tureddi has not yet released the technical specifications, performance estimates, or the selected interior design firm. Additionally, the official construction schedule and projected delivery timeline remain undisclosed at this early stage of development. The focus remains entirely on finalizing the structural foundation.
Establishing a New Program
Launching a bespoke division requires calculated investment. Representatives from Tureddi view this initial sale as the critical first step in realizing the company’s dedicated custom yacht program. The management team described Stil Novo as more than just a flagship, categorizing the 52-metre build as the direct result of years of strategic determination and long-term vision. The facility is now positioned to compete directly for primary commissions across the global market.
